The property wanted to create, on a fairly degraded plot, an agroforestry system for food production, including a grazing area for horses and a pond that would attract biodiversity to the area.

To this end, an integrated water resources management system was designed that included, among other elements, a swale system where the productive trees where planted as well a the pond. In addition, a perimeter live hedge of native species was created with the aim of being a refuge and a source of food for the auxiliary fauna that also acts as a windbreak and the appropriate forage species were selected to create grass and improve soil fertility.
